1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of UPSC Sutra, a digital platform operated by INCAL EDUCOM LLP ("Company", "we", "us", "our"), accessible at upscsutra.com and its subdomains (including app.upscsutra.com).

By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. About the Service

UPSC Sutra provides curated daily current affairs content, daily quizzes with scoring and leaderboards, streak tracking and performance analytics, and CSAT preparation tools. The platform is intended for individuals preparing for UPSC Civil Services and related examinations.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use UPSC Sutra. By using the platform, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and current.

4. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You must not share your account with other users
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must provide an accurate, valid phone number that is registered to you — this is used to deliver WhatsApp and SMS communications
• You must not use the WhatsApp communication channel for any unlawful, abusive, or spam-related purposes
• Notify us immediately at ravikapoorirs@upscsutra.com if you suspect unauthorised access

4A. WhatsApp Communications

By registering and providing your phone number, you agree to receive transactional and promotional messages via WhatsApp from UPSC Sutra. This includes daily briefs, quiz reminders, streak alerts, subscription updates, and promotional offers.

WhatsApp messages are delivered through Meta's WhatsApp Business API via our authorised service provider. By accepting these Terms, you acknowledge that:

• You have opted in to receive WhatsApp messages from UPSC Sutra
• Message frequency may vary based on your activity and preferences
• Standard data rates from your mobile carrier may apply

How to Opt Out

You may opt out of promotional WhatsApp messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, updating your preferences in Account Settings, or emailing ravikapoorirs@upscsutra.com with the subject "Unsubscribe WhatsApp". After opting out, only essential transactional messages (e.g., payment receipts) may still be sent.

Grievance Redressal for WhatsApp

If you receive an unwanted message or have a complaint about our WhatsApp communications, please contact our Grievance Officer at ravikapoorirs@upscsutra.com. We will acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve within 7 business days.

5. Subscription and Payments

• UPSC Sutra offers free and premium tiers
• Premium access is a one-time payment — there is no auto-renewal or recurring billing
• Payments are processed securely via Razorpay
• All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes
• Access is activated immediately upon successful payment

6. Intellectual Property

All content on UPSC Sutra — including but not limited to current affairs articles, quiz questions, explanations, and theme summaries — is the intellectual property of INCAL EDUCOM LLP or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the content for your personal, non-commercial exam preparation purposes only. You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, or redistribute any content
• Use the content for commercial purposes or tutoring
• Reverse engineer or scrape the platform

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform
• Upload malicious code or interfere with platform operations
• Impersonate other users or our staff
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access content

8. Content Accuracy

While we take care to ensure the accuracy of current affairs content and quiz questions, UPSC Sutra is an exam preparation aid and not an authoritative source. We do not guarantee that all content is error-free. Report inaccuracies to ravikapoorirs@upscsutra.com.

9. Service Availability

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance or circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, no streak penalty will be applied to your account.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UPSC Sutra is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Third-party platforms: We are not responsible for any disruptions, delays, data loss, misuse, or failures caused by or attributable to third-party platforms including but not limited to WhatsApp (Meta), Razorpay, Supabase, or any telecommunications carrier. Delivery of WhatsApp messages is subject to Meta's platform availability and policies, which are outside our control. We do not guarantee delivery of any specific message via WhatsApp or any other channel.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email, in-app notice, or WhatsApp (if you are opted in). Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
